Chewy Jilin Rice is sourced from Jilin Province, one of China's  renowned japonica rice-growing regions. Blessed with fertile black soil and nourished by the Songhua River basin, Jilin shares the same golden rice-growing latitude as Korea’s famous rice-producing areas, including Icheon in Gyeonggi-do and Cheorwon in Gangwon-do. With only one harvest a year and a growing season of around 150 days, the rice develops outstanding quality, aroma, and texture.

This medium-to-long grain rice has a carefully balanced amylose content of 15–18%, giving it a naturally sweet flavour and a soft yet pleasantly chewy texture when cooked. It also stays tender after cooling, without becoming hard or dry.

Beyond serving as everyday steamed rice, Chewy Jilin Rice is an excellent choice for Korean stone pot rice (dolsot bap), bibimbap, gimbap, and fried rice.
